MinBit — Privacy Policy

MinBit ("the app") is a daily task and reflection app. This page explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and what is not collected. We wrote this to be plain and accurate rather than long.

The short version

MinBit does not have user accounts, does not run analytics or advertising tracking, and does not send your tasks, notes, or photos to any server. Everything you create in the app — your task records, notes, photos, and custom tasks — is stored only on your own device.

Photo access

If you choose to attach a photo to a task record, or generate a shareable poster image, MinBit asks for permission to access your photo library. This is used only to let you pick a photo to attach, or to save a poster image MinBit creates back to your photos. MinBit does not upload, transmit, or share these photos anywhere. They remain on your device.

Locally stored data

MinBit stores the following information locally on your device, using standard iOS app storage:

• Your task records (the tasks you've completed, any notes you wrote, and any attached photos)
• Your custom tasks, if you've created any
• Your unlocked badges and achievement progress
• Your language preference (English or Chinese)
• Your daily draw count, used only to apply the app's daily limit

None of this data leaves your device or is visible to us. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Community task submission

MinBit includes an optional feature that lets you submit a custom task idea for review. When you use this feature, the app opens your device's own email app with a pre-filled message addressed to us. MinBit does not send this information directly — it is sent only if and when you choose to send the email yourself, through your own email account. We receive only what you choose to submit this way, for the purpose of reviewing task submissions.

What MinBit does not do

• No user accounts or sign-in
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
• No sharing or selling of data to third parties
• No collection of your name, location, or contacts

Children's privacy

MinBit is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If MinBit's data practices change in the future (for example, if we add optional account sync), this page will be updated, and the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
